Daehyun (DH) Won, Ph.D.

Dr. Daehyun Won (a.k.a. DH) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures. His teaching and research focus on digital rhetoric, interactive narrative media studies, and AI-integrated multimodal composition, especially in first-year, tech, and professional writings. He earned his Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Texas Woman’s University in 2023.

He is also an award-winning Korean poet; his Korean-language poetry collection, The Pastry Universe, was published in 2024, and he is currently translating the work into English. At Michigan State University, he is particularly committed to supporting students who are from international and non-traditional backgrounds, as well as advancing student-centered curriculum development.
